Ring resizing

Ring resizing in Nadi

Fingers change, and a ring that fitted on the wedding day may not fit ten years later. We do ring resizing at our shop on Main Street, Nadi. Bring the ring in, and we'll measure your finger and tell you what's possible, the cost and how long it takes before we start.

Every piece is different, so the quickest way to an answer is to show us. Bring it in to Main Street, Nadi, or send a photo on Viber, and we’ll tell you what’s possible before anything is done.

A ring that's too tight is uncomfortable, and one that's too loose can slip off and be lost. Resizing puts it right, so you can keep wearing the ring you love.

Which rings can be resized?

  • Plain and patterned gold bands: usually yes, up or down a size or two.
  • Signet and men's rings: usually yes.
  • Rings with a single stone or a cluster on top: often yes, because the band underneath can be adjusted.
  • Rings with stones all the way round (eternity bands): difficult, because the stones would have to be reset.
  • Very detailed or two-tone designs: sometimes. We'll look and tell you honestly.

Every ring is different, so the best thing is to bring it in or send a photo on Viber to +679 806 4660.

How it works

  1. Bring the ring in. We measure your finger and check the ring.
  2. We tell you what's possible, the cost and how long it takes.
  3. You decide. Nothing is done until you say yes.
  4. Collect and try it on.

Get the size right first

  • Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are slightly bigger in the evening and in the heat.
  • Mind the knuckle. A ring has to pass over the knuckle and then sit snugly behind it.
  • Measuring from overseas? Our printable ring size guide shows how to measure a ring that already fits. Fiji, Australia and New Zealand use letter sizes; the USA and Canada use numbers.

Visiting from overseas?

Bring the ring early in your trip, so there is time to resize it before you fly home. If you're buying new wedding bands while you're here, see our gold wedding bands.

FAQ

Good to know

Can every ring be resized?

Most plain, patterned and signet gold rings can go up or down a size or two. Rings with stones set all the way round, and some very detailed designs, are harder to change, so we'll look at the ring and tell you what's possible.

How much does ring resizing cost?

It depends on the ring and how far it needs to go. We'll tell you the cost when we've seen it, before any work starts.

Can I resize a ring I'm buying from you?

Yes. If the ring you love isn't quite your size, tell us at the counter and we'll tell you whether it can be adjusted.

Why do my rings feel tighter in Fiji?

Fingers swell in heat and humidity and shrink in the cold. If you live overseas, a ring that fits in a Fiji summer may feel loose at home in winter, so allow for it before resizing.
