Gold keeps its value even when a piece is broken or out of fashion. Old gold exchange turns pieces nobody wears into something the family will.

What you can bring

How it works

  1. Bring your old gold to the shop on Main Street, Nadi.
  2. We check it: its purity and its weight.
  3. We tell you its value towards a new piece.
  4. Choose something new: from the cases, or as a custom order.

Nothing is decided until you're happy.

Read the stamp first

Most gold is stamped with its purity: 916 for 22ct, 750 for 18ct and 375 for 9ct. Look inside rings and bangles, and on or beside the clasp of chains. Our guide to reading purity stamps explains the numbers. No stamp? Bring it in anyway.

Before you trade in an heirloom

Some old pieces carry more meaning than their weight in gold. If it belonged to a grandmother or was part of a wedding set, think about whether it could be repaired and passed on instead. Our post on family gold talks about why Fiji Indian families keep these pieces.

FAQ

Good to know

How is my old gold valued?

By its purity and its weight. We check the piece and tell you what it's worth towards a new piece before you decide.

Can I exchange broken gold?

Yes. Broken chains, single earrings and damaged pieces still hold the value of their gold. Bring every part, including small pieces.

Does my old gold need a purity stamp?

A stamp such as 916, 750 or 375 helps, but bring the piece even if you can't find one and we'll check it.

Could my old piece be repaired instead?

Often, yes. If it's a piece you love, ask about our repairs first.
