22ct gold pendants in Fiji

A pendant often carries a meaning: faith, a family name, an initial or a gift for a milestone. We keep 22ct gold religious, initial and designer pendants at our shop in Nadi, with a chain to match, and we can order a name pendant for you.

Every design is different, chosen by hand, and most are never posted online, so there’s far more in store on Main Street, Nadi than you’ll see here. Seen something on our socials? Message us a screenshot and we’ll tell you if it’s still here.

A pendant is small, but it is usually the most personal piece someone wears. It might be an Om given at a puja, a first initial for a new baby, or a designer piece bought to mark a 21st.

Kinds of pendant

  • Religious pendants: symbols of faith such as Om, worn every day for protection and blessing. Our post on symbols on gold jewellery explains what each one means.
  • Initial pendants: a single letter in 22ct gold, a popular gift for children and couples.
  • Designer pendants: hearts, flowers, drops and modern shapes, some with small stones or two-tone detail.
  • Name pendants: made to order with a name or word. We take custom orders: see custom jewellery.

Every design is different and most are never posted online, so there is far more in store than you see here.

Matching a pendant to a chain

  1. Strength: a heavier pendant needs a stronger chain. A fine chain suits a small pendant; a thicker gauge carries a larger one.
  2. The loop: the pendant's loop (the bail) has to fit over the chain's links and clasp.
  3. Length: shorter chains keep a pendant near the neck; longer ones let it fall onto the chest. Measure a chain you like wearing.

Bring the pendant in and we'll try it on a few gold chains so you can see how each one hangs.

The purity stamp

Our 22ct pendants are stamped 916 for 91.6% pure gold, usually on the back or on the loop. Our guide to purity stamps explains the numbers.

Caring for a pendant

  • Take it off for swimming, sport and sleep.
  • Put on perfume and lotion first, then your pendant.
  • Store it flat, away from other pieces, so detailed work doesn't scratch.

If the loop or chain ever wears thin, bring it in: we do repairs.

FAQ

Good to know

Can I get a name pendant made?

Yes, we take custom orders, including name pendants. Tell us the name and the style you like, and we'll tell you the cost and how long it takes.

Which chain goes with a pendant?

Choose a chain strong enough to carry the pendant, with links fine enough to pass through its loop (the bail). Bring the pendant in and we'll try a few chains with it.

Do you have Om and other religious pendants?

Yes, we keep religious pendants such as Om. Designs change often, so call or message us on Viber to ask what's in store before you come.

Is a pendant a good gift?

Yes. A gold pendant is a popular gift for a new baby, a birthday, a graduation or Diwali, and it can be added to a chain the person already wears.
